The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports:
• There are 18 million home-based businesses and they generate $427 billion a year in revenue.
• 52 percent of small businesses are home-based.
• 25 percent of home businesses provide 100 percent of their owner’s personal income.
• The average telecommuter is productive for 7-1/2 hours of each 8-hour day while the average office worker is productive for only 6 hours.
